All American Diner, Itaewon

location: nearer to Noksapyeong station, but come out of Itaewon station and head west because Noksapyeong is the pariah of subway stations. look for starbucks. its on top.
In a year and a half, this is the best burger ive had in seoul. smokey's is bleeding grease and wolfhound's is always upside down and a little mealy. this ones cooked on a real grille (not flat-top).
they said that this was authentic. i dont know that cheese on a sloppy joe is authentic, but it met my expectations for eating a sloppy joe in seoul. though obviously not sloppy enough. nothing like manwich if you're used to that.
fries were excellent. good seasoning.
boneless chicken tenders. they had alot of weird flavors for weirdos. these were the normal ones.

fried chicken salad. mexican pizza. i get pimples looking at this thing.
free *real* baby dills upon request.

but would i come back?

great greasy american good. but there is one huge gripe I have that makes me second guess coming here again.

I have eaten here 3 times. once in a big group and twice with 3 and 4 people. the big group meal was a disaster. i ordered an appetizer that never came until after i had finished my entre. and many at the table got their food way after that even, even though we ordered at the same time.

with the smaller parties i was expecting some better timing, but each time food came out late enough so that others were finished or almost finished with their meal before another person ever got theirs.

so if you like feeling guilty for eating while others are hungry, or feeling self righteous because you would wait for others if it was your food that had come first, then you'll probably have a great time.
